Five Keller ISD Students Named 2026 National Math Stars

Five Keller ISD students have been named 2026 National Math Stars, placing them among just over 600 students nationwide selected from a pool of nearly 9,000 top elementary math students from across the country.

The Keller ISD National Math Stars are:

Pathfinder Stars

En Shin Yeh – Woodland Springs Elementary
Neel Deepak – Willis Lane Elementary
Joshua Vu – Heritage Elementary School

Voyager Stars

Sia Sultan – Willis Lane Elementary
Elise Lockhart – Bluebonnet Elementary

These five students were among 11 KISD elementary students named National Math Stars finalists earlier this summer.

National Math Stars is a nonprofit organization that identifies mathematically extraordinary students as early as second and third grade and supports them for 10 years, through high school graduation. Founded in 2023, the organization now partners with schools and districts in 10 states.

Each Star is selected through a multi-stage evaluation of mathematical aptitude, with fewer than 7% of applicants earning the distinction.

Over the next 10 years, National Math Stars will provide each student with:

• Financial support for advanced math courses and other educational opportunities
• Ongoing mentorship and guidance
• Advanced math learning opportunities
• STEM enrichment materials and experiences
• Invitations to math competitions and summer camps
